Auscarbon International only sells carbon credits from projects that truly reduce emissions.

Certification
We produce carbon credits that have been certified by a credible third party, against an objective standard (Certification involves 100 years of monitoring and verification.) This means, when we sell you 1 tonne of carbon from our forests we have to safeguard it for 100 years

Transfer of Legal Ownership
Purchasers from Auscarbon International can select options to take direct ownership. .
Auscarbon guarantees what it sells. The company MUST open its books to independent verification each year if it wishes to product carbon credits from its forests. This is mandatory under the Australian Greenhouse Office scheme.

Each carbon credit sold is linked to a specific buyer. This will be displayed in your account on our website. You will be provided with serial numbers of the carbon credits you have purchased immediately if purchasing NGACs or GFACs and these will be retired if used to offset emissions.

Additionality
ALL projects under the AGO Federal Scheme have had to prove Additionality. All carbon credits generated by Auscarbon International are additional. What this means is that the projects would not have occurred without your help in purchasing the carbon credits. We are not planting forests to harvest the timber, or for any other reason other than to fight global warming and the carbon generated from the forests enables us to achieve this.

Permanence
The certification must provide legal guarantees that the sequestration or carbon saving cannot be reversed in the future. Auscarbon International has guaranteed the Federal Government Of Australia through the AGO Greenhouse Friendly Scheme to maintain and preserve all its forests and the Carbon they store for 100 years!

Carbon accounting – Getting the maths right!
Auscarbon International understands how to measure PRECISELY how much carbon is stored in our forests. And you don’t have to take our word for it either. No guessing its so many trees or planting extra to be sure. We understand how to measure carbon and have proved this to the AGO that is one of the steps in becoming accredited.

So when we sell you 1 tonne. We deliver you 1 tonne once it certified, independently verified, serial numbered and logged.
